LEADING LABEL MANUFACTURER DOUBLES SPACE WITH NEW INDUSTRIAL PREMISES

AM Labels Limited (AML), a leading label and colour printing machine specialist and label manufacturer, has taken new premises at Garrard Way, Kettering in a deal that more than doubles the company’s current office and production space.
Relocating from the neighbouring Northfield Point, AML seized the opportunity to secure a 10,500 sq ft premises and increase its floorspace by approximately 160%. “A lack of space in our current premises was hindering the business’ expansion plans; we were keen to find somewhere that would offer more space for production, offices and a dedicated showroom,” explains AML’s managing director, Tony Mariani. “Having been based in Kettering for 25 years, we wanted to stay within the town and ideally, on the Telford Way Industrial Estate as it’s well-known as the premier business estate for manufacturing. When we found the premises at Garrard Way, we knew it was time to make the move.”
Our director, Jason Hercock managed the transaction for AML, securing the purchase of the detached portal frame building with private yard and ample parking.
Tony continues: “The new premises means we can now proceed with our expansion and we’re currently underway with external and internal renovations. The building’s interior was entirely flexible so we’ve been able to reconfigure it to our exact requirements, which was a huge benefit. We’re creating a state-of-the-art showroom and demonstration area, which will better serve our clients and is expected to create more jobs for local people.
“Externally, the building benefits from its own grounds which we plan to utilise for staff recreation and relaxation facilities; we’re extremely pleased that relocating within a mile means we’ve been able to retain our entire team.
