OFFICE SUITES LOCATED INSIDE HISTORIC MARKET HARBOROUGH BUILDING ENJOY A MODERN DAY TRANSFORMATION

19 November 2018

The second floor of one of Market Harborough’s most historic buildings, The Old Town Hall, which is situated in the centre of the town has enjoyed a modern day refurbishment to three of its office suites and due to become available to let early in the new year.

The three office suites sit within a building that has an interesting story to tell having been gifted to the town by the Earl of Harborough in 1788 and thought to have started life as a wool auction house with the first floor retaining many original features from this bygone time. The second floor was once a members only Gentleman’s Club complete with full size snooker table and bar with barrels of beer pumped up from the ground floor. In more recent years however the building has become established as a successful commercial space with retail shops Doyle’s and Lime House occupying the ground floor, enjoying plenty of passing footfall, and offices to the first floor occupied by consultants, Ideal Marketing.

Lutterworth based property agents Wells McFarlane advised on all aspects of the marketability of the commercial property and will manage the lettings of the office suites.

Jason Hercock MRICS, Associate Commercial Surveyor at Wells McFarlane said “The Old Town Hall is a prestigious Grade 2 listed building situated in the heart of the town centre.

“The three fully refurbished offices have the latest LED lighting, data and power technologies and come complete with a modern kitchen, reception area and unrivalled views of the town from a spectacular oriel window. All this combined with their prominent location make for an ideal space for local professionals.

“What’s more the buildings unique history provides an interesting story to tell.”

The second floor office suites will become available in January 2019 and commercial property agents Wells McFarlane will manage the lettings.
